The clear-cut days of black and white, right and wrong, are over.

Earth’s familiar landscape is but a memory, forever altered by two short days of geological upheaval. With the planet plunged into near-darkness and the citizenry on the verge of panic, the struggle to survive and rebuild begins.

A recently-widowed mother, Anne Campbell, flees the destruction and lawlessness afflicting her New Mexican hometown and seeks refuge at her sister’s Rocky Mountain retreat. Colonel Ben Phillips, commander of the spacecraft Triumph, must safely return his crew to an unfamiliar, ash-covered world before beginning the harrowing search for his son. Corporate raider Howard Garner sees the Earth’s decimation as an opportunity to extend the reaches of his formidable wealth and power.

A World Gone Gray eBook BP Broome

Volcanic ash is in the air!

But in this story, it only bothers engines.

Sometimes.

Never mind people walking around breathing it in, kid and cat plays in it, people living in tents.

Volcanic ash is powdered rock, you know?

It crushes real roofs when enough gets on it, let alone a tent, You would need people every couple of minutes needing to knock it off a tent roof.

And breathing in ash will fill your lungs with it and you die.

It will kill engines pretty quick too.

But in this story, it's like rain. No big deal.

Oh, and the cast is stupid.

"I won't feed my daughter chips and jerky, even if it is the apocalypse!" Stupid.

A World Gone Gray eBook BP Broome Reviews

A very enjoyable read. It kept my interest. If you like this type of story give it a try!
It was an okay book. I kept reading, although it was mostly predictable.
Great story that you won't be able to put down.
No fairytale here. This book leaves you in a reality we all might find ourselves in. Feels real. Nothing fake and or silly in this book, all is as it could be in our future. Terrifying.
I really enjoyed this book. Around every corner you either find yourself holding your breath or cheering on one ir more if the characters you've found you have cone to care for. And yes, you will also find a few that you'd like to put to rest yourself. Great read....
Great post apocalyptic from from BP Broome....I'd taken the story while available as a free download, expecting a short tale full of zombies in a world gone wrong.
Flawed thinking on my part...Broome jumps into the story and doesn't let up in his tastefully written novel that keeps a reader turning pages. I believe the story is normally available for under a buck and is easily worth ten times that.
This being my introduction to Broome and his style of writing, I recommend giving this indie writer a try. This writer may be an indie, but is on par with the bigger names in his story telling ability,
I found this book to be very very enjoyable reading...it flows so well..it was like watching a movie...although, I thought it might be a downer from the title....the REVERSE was true....it showed several aspects of being human....bravery, courage, weakness, tenaciousness, perseverance, kindness, and also meanness....all human aspects that show up when a devastation occurs show up in this engaging and very believable book...as soon as I started reading, I became engaged with the characters...the characters are so well developed...and consistent with their role..I just enjoyed each word as the story progressed....I especially, liked the ending..it is not easy to end a story like this...but ,it is a masterful ending....one of hope and continuance.....You won't go wrong reading this book -)
