The Park After Dark [PARK AFTER DARK] [Paperback] Books
I rarely put down a book without finishing it, but I just couldn't make it through this one. The content just didn't flow well, and there was usually only a mere paragraph devoted to each attraction. These paragraphs would usually contain a vague reference to a rumor or piece of trivia with no substance or detail. Then, the author would jump to a new paragraph on a totally unrelated topic. I felt like I was reading a book report by a bored 5th grader than a real book. The subject had a lot of potential, but the book missed its mark by a long shot.Product details

The Park After Dark [PARK AFTER DARK] [Paperback] Books Reviews
Unconfirmed rumors, vague & unnamed sources & wild digressions abound.
Innuendo replaces accounts.
Poorly-written, & badly documented, by any standards.
Believers & skeptics alike will heap scorn on this shoddy book.
Give it a pass-up, hep-cats.
Or wait until it's remaindered, which shall be soon, if I know a hawk from a handsaw.
The Hipster gives it a THUMBS DOWN!
Another great read about Disney! As a current cast member, I love all the secrets about Disneyland!! Highly recommended reading!
I missed the original printing of this book, so I was really happy to see that it had been re-issued. I'm a Disneyland geek and I'm interested in ghosts -- should have been a perfect fit. Instead it was poorly written with too brief ghost contest and too much padding. I still think the idea is good, but there's simply not enough content in this to make it worth buying.
I really wanted to like this book...I really did, but it left me shaking my head and rolling my eyes over and over again. Overall, it is a quick read and offers some intersting stories, but there is just too much fluff, weak innuendos, and random links and conclusions (or should I say "believe it or not" moments) surrounding the actual paranormal anecdotes. I wish the collected stories themselves were described in more detail instead of being merely covered in short individual paragraphs. My advice, see if you can borrow this from a library and save your money...wish I had.
Great book, I have a lot of friends who work at the park and they all have confirmed most of these stories.
My Mom-in-law loved this book! She is a frequent Disneyland visitor and can't wait to go back with this "guide" in her hand. I also know a utility worker at Disneyland, who is also an amateur ghost hunter, and he said that all of the stuff in the book is true. But if you do buy this for someone, make sure that they're into this stuff otherwise you'll take away their puppy dogs and kitty kats! True, naive Disneyland lovers might not be ready for this )
I have never given up on a book......really never! I just couldn't do it. When I reached the section stating that "some have even tied the Robert Kennedy's assassination to the Disneyland Curse since he visited the park days before he was fatally shot" I almost just dropped it off at a bus stop. Really?!?! Robert Kennedy. Ugh.....
