I loved it! The Founder is a wonderful journey of a young woman, Skye, forced to grow beyond her years by circumstances and extremely difficult decisions as a spy in the Ant Community. While trying to find her mother, she bravely faces all the challengesthat she is faced with to learn the truth. It introduces new characters that cause Skye to be conflicted in many ways which helps her grow. New information causes Skye to doubt which friends she can trust. It's a wonderful series and I continue to be impressed by this author!

On a quest for her birth mother, Skye has to enter back into The Society, but must become someone else to go deep undercover. What I found interesting is the dynamics between Skye as an undercover agent and the people she ends up working with. You can work in the exact same job and be fighting for intrinsically different results. After a while, whether in Skye's life or your own, your view starts to distort no matter how black and white your values are when you're behind enemy lines and pretending to be one of them. I think the hardest part for Skye is lying. Eventually you want to tell someone (even if it's only one person) the truth.
So she takes a journey to the world she despises and learns not only the views of others in The Society, but what her own intrinsic views really are. This was a fascinating story of life undercover behind enemy lines. I would highly recommend it.
