The author sent me a copy of this book for an honest review. This is a quick, easy read about how mindfulness can help you, the different methods, and how to get started. If Mindfulness is a new concept for you, this is a good starter book.
Last time I looked for more information about meditation. And I came across this book. Here well describes the benefits of meditation. Before reading this book, I did not even know that meditation helps to focus. To have a good sleep it is worth meditating, and now I have tried it myself, and I like the effect. However, I understand that this is still far from the ideal, but the result is already palpable and I like it.
Mathews provides the reader with a comprehensive description of this important and valuable topic, and in an comforting way, she invites us to share the well being benefits of her technique. She takes the time to explain what mindfulness is not as well as what it is, to reassure us that we have a thorough understanding! A lovely book on a great tradition that is much needed in the world today.
This is an interesting and well written book. It is quick read and easy to understand, while still providing sufficient scientific and statistical support. The anecdotes are also helpful and make the book quite accessible. Finally, there is a strong pragmatic focus that is lacking in some other books in this genre. If you are interested in this subject-matter, I definitely recommend the book!
Amazing book! It helped me to grasp the concept of mindfulness easily and included meditations are fantasticits excellent and interesting guide.
This book offered a lot of information for someone just getting into mindfulness practices. I was a little disappointed, to be honest, as over half of the book covered the "why" as to mindfulness, and I wanted to get right into the "how". There were a good many suggestions for that, once you got to the meat of it, and quite a few that were new to me. It was very organized and easy to follow.
